Listening and Thinking – Two Interviews
It’s Sunday evening and it’s been a great week. Partly because I got to listen to interviews with two people I very much admire.
The first interview was Alan Jacobs as a guest on the Give and Take Podcast. Alan is a professor at Baylor University in Texas and an avid blogger. On the show he talks about his upcoming book How to Think and his personal situation as a Christian academic (or academic Christian). The other interview was quite the opposite experience, because I’d been listening to his voice for about ten years: Stuart Murdoch (of Belle & Sebastian fame) got to »Talk the Line« (on a podcast by the same name). Stuart talked a lot about his personal history and struggles, his Christianity and his recent dabbling with Buddhism. The show ends with a short discussion on the pros and cons of being reincarnated as a cat. Listen…
